New Patients > Referral Based Visits

We can only see patients who are referred to us by a general dentistry office. Although our treatment plans often include cleanings and preventative dental care services. You're required to be a patient of a primary dental care provider to receive treatment from our office.

Your first visit to Grand River Periodontics involves a few special steps so that we can get to know you. To understand what to expect, please read through this page. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more. There's also background information about our committed staff and our first visit procedures. You can also save some time by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment.

If you are here in our office with an immediate problem, that will be our first concern. If you are here for a consultation to be followed by comprehensive treatment, then we will complete a medical and dental history, an oral examination, and x-rays (If not already provided by your dentist). As a result of these finding, we will arrive at a practical treatment plan for you. At this time, we will also estimate how much this treatment will cost and how long it will take. Thorough care is our foremost consideration, and comprises not only the eradication of dental disease, but its prevention in thefuture.

Payment Options

Our practice depends on reimbursement from our patients for costs incurred. As a condition of beginning treatment, financial arrangements must be made in advance. While we do not automatically bill patients for services rendered, this courtesy is extended to patients who have established a satisfactory credit history with us. Dental Insurance plans usually do not cover the entire amount of your bill. Your dental coverage is a contract between you and your insurance company, and while we will fully cooperate In expediting your Insurance claims, you are ultimately responsible for your account. For those who are Interested, we do offer an Interest free Installment plan so that our patients need not delay necessary dental treatment.
